I think if the wheels turned, I’d buy one for my truck-loving (adult) nephew. Shortbread cookies sound good too, but 7 weeks out seems a little early to buy perishable foodstuffs.

Also tempting.

So, first thing is that shortbread can be resurrected indefinitely with a cup of coffee or hot chocolate. Second thing is, why wait until Christmas to eat it? I’m sure there’s a 24 hour Christmas music station on by now if you’re really masochistic and need the backdrop.
Third, cheap Secret Senna gift (if we make it that far).

Well, the bag comes with the truck, so it’d be 4 weeks until my nephew gets them.
I was surprised that one of the largest malls had Christmas music already, but then I remembered that malls basically are only still alive thanks to this season.

The open-air mall seems to be the thing nowadays. That surprises me up north where the heaviest shopping season is in the shittiest weather.
I remember when L.S. Ayres built that huge new store and covered parking garage onto the center of Castleton Square, and less than 20 years later, Macy’s buys them out and the entire thing gets torn down in favor of shops you have to walk outside to get between.
Debbie Gibson would be appalled.

The only open air malls up North are Christmas tree lots.
Technically I guess outlet malls that make you walk outside to visit another store.
